Guiding is not for everyone. Guides do not have "bad" days, even if the client is having one. Can you smile when things go wrong?(and find a solution) Can you think on your feet and antisipate the customer's needs. Are you a good conversationalist, and knowledgeable in everything from local history to international retaliations and politics. Do you like children, dogs and senior citizens. Do you like to work long hours to get the job done. Would you be willing to do an unpaid "apprenticeship" to prove you have the right stuff.

Then add:

a class 4 drivers licence
a good driving record
a first aid certificate
and maybe even an extra language for two
