The natural environment here is Temperate Rainforest, and it can tend to be a little wet in the winter months, with infrequent snow fall and very mild temperature, unlike what the rest of Canada is famous for. However the from the beginning of July to Mid September sunshine and warm days are a good bet. Multi cultural, with a thriving night life, Vancouver is fun from the start. Many attractions including a 1000 acre suburban park and a picturesque harbour, border the downtown core with mountain peaks over looking it all. Vancouver is the terminal for most of the Alaska Cruise ships in the summer, and hosted the 2010 Winter Olympic and Para Olympic Games.
